APRIL Saturday 10th - Upton Blues Festival Fundraiser, The Kings Head, Upton-on-Severn. After our storming headlining performance at the 2009 Upton Blues Festival, The Tribe has offered this great event its services for free to raise funds for the 2010 FREE festival www.kingsheadupton.co.uk

MAY Saturday 1st - Boogaloo Blues Weekend, The Tribe has been booked to play its first Boogaloo Blues Weekend - at Alvaston Hall, Cheshire 30 April - 2nd May. These weekends are always great fun with excellent bands, jam sessions late into the night and everyone having a ball. The Tribe will be playing on the Saturday evening. Saturday 29th - Warrington Blues Festival, Pyramid Hall, Warrington. www.warringtonbluesfest.co.uk. We were asked to play this really nice blues festival following our performance at Worthenbury last year. |

JUNE Saturday 19th - Taurus Blues Festival - Taurus Crafts, Lydney Gloucestershire. The new community blues festival organised by Jigsaw Community Festivals this promises to be a fantastic event. We have Bex Marshall, Rollo Markee and the Tailshakers, Tommy Allen, Alma Latina as well as The Big Blues Tribe. There will be fine food and drink, music from 2pm-11pm, camping if you want to stay over. Tickets £12 in advance and £15 on the gate for adults £3 for under 12’s. Saturday 26th - Pensax Beer Festival, The Bell, Pensax, Worcestershire. Our third appearance at this event - it’s a blast, and what a great pub. |

JULY Saturday 3rd - Blues at The Fold, our very own blues festival organised at this fantastic courtyard location in Bransford, near Worcester. Also appearing this year are The Trevor Burton Band, The Dirty Rascals, The Cohen Brothers Mumbo-Jumbo, Paul Cowley and more. www.bluesatthefold.co.uk There’s camping, kids make their own instruments and perform with one of the bands, and lots of fantastic local and ecologically sound food and drink. If you came to last year’s then book tickets as we are expecting it to be even bigger and better. Saturday 10th - Droitwich Music Festival, Town Centre Droitwich. This is a special performance where the festival organisers are organising the opportunity for local young musicians to play live with The Big Blues Tribe. This festival works hard to develop musical opportunities for local children and we jumped at the opportunity to try what will be a new experience for us. More information to follow |

AUGUST Saturday 21st - The Jinney Ring Blues Festival, the second held at this lovely location, a craft centre just outside Bromsgrove at Hanbury. Also appearing this year will be top harmonica blower Simon ‘Honeyboy’ Hickling and his band, Slowburner (who like the Tribe were selected as an ‘Album of 2009’ by Blues in Britain magazine, Tommy Allen and Johnny Hewitt, Mumbo-Jumbo and David Bristow. There will be camping and the food and drink is EXCELLENT! www.jinneyring.co.uk
Sunday 22nd - Bentworth Blues Festival, straight down to Hampshire for this friendly local festival. |
